Both the Alphard and Vellfire comes in the same specs and options. In Japan, even individual variants for both models are sold at exactly the same price. In Japan, prices start from 3,000,000 Yen for both the Alphard 240X and Veillfire 2.4X, stretching to 4,620,000 Yen for the Alphard 350G and Vellfire 3.5G. Hybrid models start from 3,950,000 Yen for the Alphard Hybrid X and Vellfire Hybrid X, while to top of the line Alphard Hybrid SR and Vellfire ZR sells for 5,650,000 Yen. The more conservative Alphard is sold via Toyota’s Toyopet dealership while the sporty Vellfire is sold via Toyota’s youth oriented Netz dealership chain.

Hybrid models come with 4WD as standard (electric motors powering the rear axle, Toyota calls it E-Four). Fuel consumption is rated at 19.0km / liter under Japan’s 10-15 test methodology and 17.0Km / liter under the JC08 test mode.
