Spyshots 2012 Toyota Avanza Full Model Change

The current generation Toyota Avanza will be replaced by a second generation model before the end of this year, most probably by November. We have gathered some shots, from Indonesia, the global hub for Avanza, where the Avanza is also sold as the Daihatsu Xenia. Actually, it is more accurate to explain it the other way around. The Daihatsu Xenia is also sold as the Toyota Avanza. Indonesian sites are referring the car as Avanza Veloz.

The Xenia / Avanza is designed and built by Daihatsu, and then sold to Toyota on a OEM-collaboration basis. Even in Malaysia, the Avanza is not manufactured by Toyota but by Daihatsu’s Malaysian outpost Perodua.
